Definition and maintenance of test procedures, test cases and co-ordination of the development of test tools for PROFINET tests.

This new WG was established in 2003.

In 2003 the WG created the test specification for PROFINET V 1.2 and the test instructions for PROFINET V 1.2.

In 2004 the WG started the definition of the test specification and test instructions for PROFINET IO.

In 2005 creation of the test specification for PROFINET IO Version 2.0 was started in 3 stages:
Stage 1: purely hardware tests based on IO-specification V 2.0 (finished)
Stage 2: mainly straight forward process data traffic acc. to V 2.0 (finished)
Stage 3: complete test cases acc. to V 2.1 (in preparation, goal november 2006)
In addition review of the test specification, test cases and test programm for PROFINET NRT and RT-Version was started.

In 2006 the WG worked at the creation of a PROFINET test system for IO devices, started to define the test cases for media redundancy and created a test system for IRT devices.

In 2007 the WG will perform first tests and work at open issues.
