Definition and maintenance of test procedures, test cases and co-ordination of the development of test tools for PROFIsafe tests.

This new WG was established in 2003.

In 2003 the WG developed test specification and test instructions for PROFIsafe, which are accepted from TÜV-Süd (Germany).

In 2004 the certification test was established.

In 2005 the WG created the test specification V 2.0 for PROFIsafe on PROFIBUS/PROFINET and started version 2 of the PROFIsafe master test.

In 2006 the WG created a test specification for PROFIBUS and PROFINET
based PROFIsafe devices, worked out a test script and developed a test system to perform automatic tests.

In 2007 the WG will perform the first tests.
