Task of this WG is to define use cases / applications for wireless networks and gather requirements for wireless technologies from this use cases.

Status:

The WG started work in 2005. Application use cases were collected and criterias for a categorization of applications and technologies discussed.

In 2006 the WG will define environmental classes, build a conformance class for 802.11 and specify a model for wireless integration in PROFINET.
