Specification and maintenance of the PROFIBUS PA Profile for Process Control Devices.

In 2003 the work at an implementation guide was stopped. Together with WG "PA-marketing" the WG investigated functionality of DPV1 and 2 to be used by PA devices. Together with NAMUR and GMA the WG worked at the extension for device diagnosis.

In 2004 the WG continued this work. A new version of the PA profile document was released together with amendments integrating PROFIsafe and I&M functions.

In 2005 the WG released the amendment for diagnosis and finalized test purposes and test instructions.

In 2006 the WG will support the implementation of the profile and the test purpose definition.
