PI - STANDARDS FOR INTEROPERABILITY
PROFIBUS and PROFINET International (PI) is the world's leading industry association for the development, standardization, and promotion of industrial communication and automation technologies.
With its core technologies PROFIBUS, PROFINET, IO-Link, omlox, MTP, NOA and SRCI, PI is responsible for the development of its market-leading open standards for all areas of application in industrial production. More than 1,000 experts regularly work in PI's 80 working groups to further develop and disseminate its technologies.
Together with 23 other regional representative offices (RPAs), as well as the test, training, and competence centers, PI supports the more than 1,850 member companies worldwide as an international community with information, webinars and workshops, consulting and training, software, and many online services. More than 10,000 certified PI experts have in-depth knowledge of PROFIBUS and PROFINET and are available as competent consultants.
PI is continuously expanding its technology portfolio for the discrete manufacturing industry, the process industry and other sectors.
