A cost effective range of 8 variable Profibus PA indicators:

  •  BA648CF    General purpose panel mounting

Each bus powered indicator has a high contrast, 5 digit 20mm high display plus a 31 segment bargraph, which can display one of up to eight pre-configured process variables selected using the indicator’s front panel push buttons.

All models may be configured as a fieldbus Node or as a fieldbus Listener.   When used as a fieldbus Node the indicator is configured via the fieldbus host, but the indicator’s fieldbus address may be entered via the instrument’s push buttons, which may also be used to return operator acknowledgements to the host.  As a Listener the indicator is not visible to the fieldbus host; may not be subject to a Node Licence Fee and is configured and controlled via the instrument’s push buttons.

The intrinsically safe models have ATEX, IECEx, FM and cFM certification permitting installation in most gas hazardous areas, the field mounting indicator also has dust certification.   For Zone 2 or 22 hazardous area applications, the BA444NDF indicator has Type nL, nA and tD protection permitting installation without the need for an intrinsically safe segment isolator, thus significantly reducing the installation cost.

Field mounting models have a robust IP66 GRP enclosure suitable for installation in harsh industrial and offshore environments which incorporates a separate terminal compartment with forward facing terminals to simplify installation and maintenance.   Accessories include pipe-mounting kits, customised display escutcheons and etched stainless steel legend plates.

The panel mounting indicators have a 144 x 72mm DIN enclosure with an IP66 front panel and a gasket to seal the joint between the instrument and the mounting panel.   The display escutcheon can be supplied marked with customer specified information.
