A practical workshop covering PROFIBUS troubleshooting and maintenance.
Who should attend the course?
The PROFIBUS Troubleshooting and Maintenance course provides an intermediate level of training for technicians and engineers who are involved with commissioning, health checking and fault finding on operational PROFIBUS systems. The course also provides an essential pre-requisite to the more advanced Certified PROFIBUS Engineer Course. We require attendees to be qualified up to Certified PROFIBUS Installer standard, however, don’t worry if you are not qualified to this level: we always run the one-day installer course immediately before the troubleshooting & maintenance course so you can take both in the same week. Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance from the PI organization on completion of this course
What will I learn on the course?
This is a practical course based around a working PROFIBUS system. At the end of the course, students should be able to formally audit a PROFIBUS network. The topics covered include:
- Network configuration and the use of GSD files
- The use of PROFIBUS analyzers / monitoring tools to audit a network
- The practical use of a PROFIBUS analyzer
- Qualification criteria for PROFIBUS network
