You will be introduced to the functionality and the structure of the PROFIsafe system and become familiar with the installation and connection methods of safety sensors/actuators. You will configure the PROFIsafe system with single-channel or two-channel option, taking the required safety category and the performance / safety integrity level into account. During the hands-on sessions of the training, you will find out how to set up the PROFIsafe system efficiently by using the PLCnext Engineer toolchain of Phoenix Contact.

- Installation and connection methods of PROFIsafe components

- Creating a hardware configuration with standard PROFINET and safety PROFIsafe modules
- Reliable programming a PROFIsafe PLC with the functional safety editor in the PLCnext Engineer toolchain
- Calculating response times and switch-off times
- Using the PLCnext diagnostic system for safe and standard PROFINET components
