The PROFIBUS FC Standard Cable is of radial-symmetrical design, allowing it to be stripped with the FastConnect stripping tool. It is possible to strip the outer casing and the shield to the right length in one step. This, in turn, makes it possible to prepare bus connectors quickly and easily.
The FC Standard Cable is a shielded, twisted two-wire cable with circular cross-section. Double shielding gives the cable a high degree of interference immunity, allowing it to bridge distances of up to 1000 meters without the use of repeaters. Its double shielding makes the FC Standard cable particularly well suited to use in environments with a high degree of electromagnetic interference.
